Wow did “International Food Traffickers Union” sink its claws into me the first time I listened to it. A split endeavor between two pantry staples of the food synth genre. Monsieur Baguette delivers some extra crispy hip-hop flavored bites, bringing forth what can only be called food hop. Or deli hop? Cafe hop? It takes the idea of lo-fi coffee shop hop and slathers hot butter all over it. Hot Dog Cart comes into the second half of the split with every intention of hypnotizing you into grilling 16 hot dogs and handing them out on the street corner, spreading a little bit of happiness before heading home. Exhibiting every bit of the troublesome whimsy HDC is known for, the almost honky tonk blues shamble infused with a new age retro future designed pizza parlor jukebox set. Tapes for this split were done by Personal Uschi Records, and came out fantastic.
